BONNEVILLE Talk KTAR-F/PHOENIX is replacing PREMIERE NETWORKS' GLENN BECK with a new local show, "KARIE AND CHUCK," with station veteran KARIE DOZER and crosstown SANDUSKY Sports KDUS-A (THE FAN AM 1060) host CHUCK POWELL, for noon-3p (PT), starting in late OCTOBER. BECK is moving to crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFYI-A (NET NEWS 10/5).
"The chemistry between KARIE and CHUCK is off the charts," said KTAR VP/News and Sports Content RYAN HATCH. "They are two distinct, smart and fun personalities who bring unique perspectives from their life experiences. This show will connect emotionally and intellectually with our audience in a meaningful, relatable way."
"I've been looking for this role for a long time, where I can take what everyone is talking about in the news, share my thoughts and have some fun with the stories," said POWELL. "KARIE has an incredible personality that is going to engage and challenge me. I'm looking forward to my daily dose of DOZER."
"I have always known that my career would never stray far from the news and current events," said DOZER. "To have a show where we get to dig into the stories of the day and have fun with the people and events around us will be a treat for the audience and for CHUCK and me. He is such a great radio talent, and he makes me laugh out loud. I never know what he will say next!"
