The INSPIRATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION will have a “Turning NASHVILLE Pink” theme this year for INSPIRATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC WEEK, which is OCTOBER 24th through 27th in NASHVILLE. The ICM FAITH, FAMILY & COUNTRY AWARDS takes place at the SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER on OCTOBER 28th.
Numerous businesses throughout downtown NASHVILLE will display pink in support of the breast cancer awareness during INSPIRATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC WEEK and the state capitol itself will be showered in pink lighting for the entire week to honor and raise awareness for the cause. A special “Pink Silent Auction” will be held at the MILLENNIUM MAXWELL HOUSE host hotel that week and special concerts benefitting the TENNESSEE BREAST CANCER COLALITION will also happen nightly there.
The theme of ICM-ASSOCIATION events this year reflect a commitment to OCTOBER’s national theme of breast cancer awareness month and the organization’s corporate partnership to raise funds to benefit the TENNESSEE BREAST CANCER COALITION.
“My own mother is a two time survivor of this devastating disease which now effects one out of eight women nationally,” said ICM-ASSOCIATION Executive Director JASON HIGGINS. “From our platform of having the ability to engage music and major name artists with the meaningful aspects of a vital humanitarianism cause that would benefit MIDDLE TENNESSEE, we felt our efforts to ‘Paint NASHVILLE Pink’ would be an extremely meaningful addition to this year’s ICM-ASSOCIATION events.”
