Kellie Pickler To Turn The Opry Pink

BNA RECORDS artist KELLIE PICKLER will perform during the GRAND OLE OPRY’s third annual “OPRY GOES PINK” show, which will be held on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22nd in NASHVILLE. In addition to her performance, she will flip the switch on the OPRY’s barn backdrop, which will turn it pink for the second show of the night, to raise awareness for breast cancer.
ABC-TV’s GOOD MORNING AMERICA co-anchor ROBIN ROBERTS, who is a breast cancer survivor, will be on hand as a special guest announcer for a portion of the night’s first show, introducing acts as well as the WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE “Honorary Survivor of the Year” YOLANDA SMITH.
PICKLER said, “My grandmother, who raised me and was my angel, died of cancer and I’m honored to participate in everyway I can to help bring awareness and raise money to fight this horrible disease,”
In other PICKLER news, she will chat with CMT host EVAN FARMER via TWITTER tomorrow (10/18) at 4p (ET), to discuss her debut acting role on CW-TV’s “90210.” The show will air tomorrow (10/18) at 8p (ET). Fans can follow at www.twitter.com/kelliepickler.
