BUCKLEY Talk WOR-A/NEW YORK afternoon host DAVID PATERSON took a lot of ribbing from NBC's "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" when he was Governor of NEW YORK, portrayed by FRED ARMISEN as a confused, bumbling blind man. PATERSON eventually appeared on the show to mock ARMISEN's mocking, and the comic actor visited PATERSON's radio show TUESDAY (10/18) to talk about it.
The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS reports that PATERSON said he wrote some of his jokes for his appearance alongside ARMISEN on "SNL," and blanked out on his lines before the show but recovered once on camera. ARMISEN, making the rounds to promote the second season of his "PORTLANDIA" sketch comedy show on IFC, told PATERSON that he "already won just by being on" "SNL."
