Nashville Artists Place High On Sales Chart

Country had a big sales week as seven NASHVILLE CD's were represented in this week's Top-200 SOUNDSCAN sales chart.
CAPITOL NASHVILLE artist LUKE BRYAN came in at #20, as "Tailgates & Tanlines," sold 17,078 units; ATLANTIC/WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE's HUNTER HAYES' self-titled CD sold 17,678 coming in at #18; BBR artist JASON ALDEAN's "My Kinda Party" was in at #14 with 19,217; and REPUBLIC NASHVILLE's MARTINA McBRIDE's new album "Eleven" debuted at #10 with 40,116 units sold.
Also selling big this week were CAPITOL NASHVILLE group LADY ANTEBELLUM's "We Own The Night," at #8 with 47,260. At #5 was MERCURY/NASHVILLE's LAUREN ALAINA with her CD "Wildflower" selling 69,013, and also on MERCURY/NASHVILLE, newcomer SCOTTY McCREERY's album "Clear As Day" sold 88,153, making it the #4 album of the week on the Top 200.
