JACOBS MEDIA has set its agenda and lineup for SUMMIT 16, which will be held WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7th at the HYATT REGENCY INNER HARBOR in downtown BALTIMORE. The event is designed to provide commercial and public broadcasters with a broad-based look at the various issues, challenges, and opportunities facing the industry.
"As always, we’ll be covering digital from a variety of perspectives, hear from some of radio’s leading voices, provide a point-of-view from across the pond, and take a stab at predicting ‘what’s next,’" JACOBS MEDIA Pres. FRED JACOBS said. "To accomplish this Radio 360° approach, SUMMIT 16 will have more and shorter presentations that will enable us to squeeze in lots of content in a format that is especially designed for all of us with shortening attention spans. It will be fast-paced and substantive."
The SUMMIT will again partner with the ARBITRON CLIENT CONFERENCE, which runs from DEC. 6th-8th, so attendees will be able to attend both groups' presentations as well.
Among the noted session panelists include MSNBC and radio Talk host ED SCHULTZ, WTOP/WASHINGTON, D.C. VP News & Programming JIM FARLEY; NPR’s "On The Media" host and author BROOKE GLADSTONE; U.S. CENSUS BUREAU Dir. Dr. ROBERT GROVES and more.
"The SUMMIT and the ARBITRON CLIENT CONFERENCE combine to make this a major event for all broadcasters to attend," JACOBS said. "As always, our goal is to provide attendees with thought-provoking information they can take back to their station and implement, and this agenda will deliver the goods."
The cost to register for the entire event is $174 for ARBITRON clients ($349 for non-ARBITRON clients), but there is a $25 discount for JACOBS MEDIA clients. The registration fee includes applicable breakfasts, lunches and receptions so it’s even a better deal. To register, go to the ARBITRON registration page -- www.arbitron.com/movingup.
