A new company aimed at primarily serving indie artists and small record labels, FREQ has formed in NASHVILLE under the direction of RICK WELKE and GATOR GAYNOR. The first phase of the new company will be to offer radio promotion services under the heading FREQ PROMOTIONS.
FREQ will do traditional callout promotions to terrestrial radio stations. It will also begin interacting with and promoting songs to Internet radio programmers and stations in several countries outside the U.S.The company says that this new direction in radio promotions will separate FREQ from any other promotions company. "I'm very excited to be partnering with GATOR on this new endeavor to serve indie artists and those labels who have had a hard road in landing spins at radio. We believe we have the knowledge and contacts to help those talented individuals not only land plays at local radio stations, but also to garner attention from Internet radio programmers and international outlets the world over. This truly is a new day in radio promotions," said new FREQ Partner RICK WELKE.
"RICK and I have known each other for years, and our continued conversations have leaned of late to finding ways to help the 'rest of the pack' of artists that are out there," said current promoter and FREQ partner GATOR GAYNOR. "When it comes to radio and other aspects of marketing, and working with newer artists, I'm thrilled that our like-mindedness is now going to put those discussions into action with FREQ. It's an appropriate moniker for two guys who get freakishly passionate about helping artists see their ministry objectives met with new out-of-the-box ideas."
