RAMBLIN' MUSIC, a new music company co-founded by ATLANTA couple, GENE and DONNA BROOKS, has launched in NASHVILLE. Veteran producer and songwriter CLIFF DOWNS has been hired as President of the company, which includes RAMBLIN' RECORDS and YOUNG GUNS PUBLISHING. Singer/songwriter WESTON BURT has been signed as the flagship artist for RAMBLIN' RECORDS.
"DONNA and I have been Country fans for many years," said GENE. "We made the decision to get involved in the Country music business last year and immediately started looking for an artist who had the talent and work ethic to help launch this company. In WESTON, we found someone who not only met that criteria but who far exceeded it."
"We're building this company on the philosophy that we want to develop careers," he added. "With our YOUNG GUNS PUBLISHING, we want to sign and develop young songwriters and eventually move them over to RAMBLIN' RECORDS as artists. Our business model is an artist-friendly approach, which is much more equitable than traditional deals, that we feel will attract established artists as well."
DOWNS will produce WESTON’s debut single and album, which are expected in early 2012.
In addition to DOWNS, RAMBLIN' MUSIC has enlisted TEDDI BONADIES' TEEBO CONSULTING for radio promotion and marketing.
The company is located at 1105 16th Ave S, Suite A, NASHVILLE, TN. Contact info@ramblinmusic.com or www.ramblinmusic.com for more information.
