The word "legend" is used in our business all too frequently, but it truly applies to INTERSCOPE-GEFFEN-A&M PHILADELPHIA-based promo rep BOBBI SILVER, who has announced that she is retiring after almost 42 years in the business.
SILVER started in 1970 with JAMIE/GUYDEN RECORDS in PHILADELPHIA as a secretary, and worked her way up to National Promotion Director. Subsequently, she held promo positions at CHRYSALIS, ISLAND, RSO, CASABLANCA, RCA, POLYGRAM, POLYDOR and GEFFEN.
"This truly signifies the end of an era," said ALL ACCESS East Coast Rep DAVE HOEFFEL. "In a market that had MANY great promo reps over the years, BOBBI stood out for her passion, her honesty, her commitment to her artists, and her follow-through. Nobody did it better."
Look for SILVER to finish out the year with INTERSCOPE-GEFFEN-A&M.
