Industry veteran DALE BRAY, former President and Co-founder of INPOP RECORDS, announced the formation of PLATINUM POP MUSIC. The label will release its debut project from NEWWORLDSON in APRIL. The band's radio single “Learning to Be the Light" went for adds this week.
"I believe there are still great opportunities to support the talent and commitment of Christian musicians around the world. Although PLATINUM POP MUSIC won’t be a traditional label in many ways, we also don’t feel it necessary to reinvent the wheel. We will stay focused on radio artists with unique talent and pure goals, while meeting the consumer via whatever platform the market dictates," said CEO BRAY.
PLATINUM POP's first release will come from NEWWORLDSON. BRAY signed and launched the band during his tenure at INPOP. "DALE has always given us the artistic freedom to be the eclectic group that we truly are. It’s doubtful our fans and supporters know how essential he is to our team. We couldn’t be more excited about partnering with his new venture," said NEWWORLDSON frontman JOEL PARISIEN.
The Nashville-based label is sister company to PLATINUM POP ENTERTAINMENT, which currently manages SUPERCHICK, ABANDON and MIKE MAINS AND THE BRANCHES.
