Embezzlement charges against former STECKLINE COMMUNICATIONS bookkeeper WILLIAM H. NOLAN have been revised by federal prosecutors, reports the ASSOCIATED PRESS. NOLAN has been issued a summons for a WEDNESDAY hearing to face mail fraud and wire fraud charges; the revised indictment seeks a $2 million forfeiture judgement.
NOLAN was indicted in SEPTEMBER by a grand jury on one count of mail fraud and one count of wire fraud for allegedly embezzling over $2 million from the broadcasting company, LS MEDIA, INC., also known as STECKLINE, MID-AMERICA AG NETWORK, and BROADCAST TECHNICAL ASSOCIATES. He pleaded not guilty to the original charges, which alleged that he forged signatures on company checks to pay for $863,924 of credit card debt and used electronic funds transfers to pay for $1,180,088 more in credit card purchases.
