The BBC is putting more of its radio archives online, with plans to put most of its recorded radio programming from the 1940s onward on a new website.
The DAILY TELEGRAPH reports that the new site, tentatively named AUDIOPEDIA, will launch within the next 12 months, BBC Audio and Music Director TIM DAVIE said. DAVIE added that the site "will not be a closed library. We will link to other broadcasters’ content."
The BBC has slowly been posting archives of radio shows, including 500 episodes of "DESERT ISLAND DISCS" and the REITH Lectures.
