ARBITRON has released an analysis of how its PORTABLE PEOPLE METER (PPM) is tracking HOUSTON morning show listeners and what reality TV shows they are viewing the night before. The PPM is simultaneously tracking radio listening and television viewing in HOUSTON, which can now provide radio programmers with a never-before-available profile of what morning show listeners actually watched on TV the night before.
Nearly one out of three listeners to the Contemporary Christian KSBJ's morning show watched the finale of "BIG BROTHER 6" on CBS. The finale of the ABC's "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" garnered the largest morning after share of radio listeners on County KILT. The premiere of the FOX's "DANCING WITH THE STARS" had the top share among morning listeners on Top 40 station KRBE.
ARBITRON PPM President PIERRE BOUVARD said, "The state-of-the-art PPM provides radio stations with unique insights about television viewership and how that relationship impacts their radio show audiences. Not only do we know how listeners really use radio, we also know how those same listeners use television."
