Veteran air personality DON HINSON passed away at his home in BRANSON, MISSOURI on NOVEMBER 2nd. HINSON, who lived in BRANSON the past 13 years, was 76.
When he was at the former Country KLAC-A/LOS ANGELES, HINSON was coined the “KING OF TRUCKERS,” and at one time over 8,000 truckers were part of his “PHANTOM 5-70 CLUB.”
Other stations that HINSON worked included KTLN/DENVER, KDAY and KFOX. Most recently he hosted a syndicated series called the “BRANSON MINUTE.
