Condolences to family and friends of former FCC Commissioner KENNETH A. COX, who died OCTOBER 31st in BETHESDA, MD, according to the WASHINGTON POST.
COX, an attorney, served as Special Counsel to the Senate Commerce Committee in 1956-57, then joined the FCC in 1961 as Chief of the Broadcast Bureau. He was nominated by President KENNEDY as a Commissioner in 1963 and served on the Commission until 1970.
The rest of COX's career was spent at telecommunications company MCI and as counsel to other telecommunications firms and the law firm HALEY, BADER AND POTTS.
