A man has been found guilty by a jury in LONG BEACH, CA of murdering veteran radio personality STEVEN B. WILLIAMS, reports the LONG BEACH PRESS-TELEGRAM. HARVEY MORROW was found guilty on all counts of first degree murder with special circumstances. MORROW faces a sentence of life without parole plus 25 years; he will be sentenced at a hearing on SEPTEMBER 16th.
WILLIAMS was a veteran of stations such as KIOI and KRQR/SAN FRANCISCO and KHOW, KXKL, KPKE and KBPI/ DENVER among many others, and was best known as half of the "STEVEN B. AND THE HAWK" team on KBPI alongside the late DON HAWKINS. He was found shot to death off the coast of SANTA CATALINA ISLAND in MAY 2006, and MORROW was alleged to have murdered WILLIAMS after WILLIAMS realized that MORROW had scammed almost $2 million from him and his disabled sister.
