CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WKCI (KC101)/NEW HAVEN APD/MD/afternooner JOHN MAYER tells ALL ACCESS, "Great news! The numbers are in for the 21st annual STUFF-A-BUS, which was 11/18-19, where we broadcast live outside from a parking lot for 2 straight days. We raised over $10k -- more than double the last two years combined! Nearly 500 turkeys and over 8,500 pounds of food."
"The money alone will go to feed over 35,000 people in need this holiday season in the state of CONNECTICUT," noted MAYER. "We had some people from MTV's The Buried Life stop by the event, and KATIE STEVENS (former AMERICAN IDOL) was on site for a while helping broadcast and take food from donators. Finally we did a school spirit contest thanks to HOT CHELLE RAE The school who donated the most money and showed the most spirit got a concert from HOT CHELLE RAE. We had about a dozen schools donate, with the winning school donating just over $3,200!"
