PAT FOLEY won't be staying with the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS after all, and the team will now have to find a new radio play-by-play voice.
The NHL team plans to split radio and TV broadcasts for 2006-07 and offered FOLEY, the longtime simulcast play-by-play announcer who recently completed his 25th season as the team's voice (23 on both radio on TV after the first two on radio only), the radio job, but a press release issued late FRIDAY after business hours said that the team had rescinded the offer "due to recent circumstances." The HAWKS air on CBS Sports WSCR-A (670 THE SCORE) and COMCAST SPORTS NET.
