According to THE TENNESSEAN, percussionist TOM ROADY has passed away. ROADY has worked on recordings for artists like EMMYLOU HARRIS, RICKY SKAGGS, JOAN BEAZ, ART GARFUNKEL, WILSON PUCKETT, BOB SEGER, TOM T. TALL, THE DIXIE CHICKS, JAMES BROWN, KENNY CHESNEY and many more. ROADY passed away on SUNDAY (11/20), after a battle with cancer.
ROADY passed away while traveling to a tour date with RICKY SKAGGS for the “SKAGGS FAMILY CHRISTMAS TOUR.” He is survived by his wife MELANIE. Services will be held on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4th at HIGHLAND PARK CHURCH in NASHVILLE at 3p (CT). The visitation will take place just prior to the service, from 1:30-3p (CT).
