AIR AMERICA RADIO co-founders SHELDON and ANITA DROBNY are trying to get local MILWAUKEE investors to join their NOVA M group in buying a station to air the liberal talk network's programming, but the couple has yet to find a station willing to sell to them.
The BUSINESS JOURNAL OF MILWAUKEE reports that the DROBNYS are trying to put together a "GREEN BAY PACKER community model" involving local investors owning shares in the operation rtanging from large stakes to $10.-$100. shares, but that their offer to buy ALL-PRO BROADCASTING's Talk WMCS-A were rejected. "We have no interest whatsoever" in selling, WMCS GM BILL HURWITZ told the paper.
