CMA Releases New CMA Industry Insite Topic, 'Country Goes Global'

The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION has added a new episode to its educational series, "CMA INDUSTRY INSITE." "Country Goes Global" discusses strategies to help artists gain a foothold internationally. This installment discusses topics ranging from the best territories to visit to some of the challenges faced when embarking on a global tour.
The 19th episode, "Country Goes Global," is available now and features interviews with artist/songwriter JACE EVERETT, BBC RADIO Executive Director MARK HAGEN, CEO Managing Director for ROB POTTS ENTERTAINMENT EDGE ROB POTTS; International Director of Marketing for BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP BRAD TURCOTTE and CEO of the ARISTOMEDIA GROUP JEFF WALKER.
"The popularity of Country Music globally continues to expand as evidenced by the recent high-profile international tours by artists like TAYLOR SWIFT, ALAN JACKSON, BRAD PAISLEY, TOBY KEITH, JOE NICHOLS, LADY ANTEBELLUM and MONTGOMERY GENTRY," said WALKER. "With the availability of music and information through global social networks and online opportunities this momentum should continue to build as fans worldwide discover the variety of artists and diversity of music within the Country format. This CMA Industry Insight topic is particularity relevant at this time."
The series began in MAY of 2009 as a member benefit designed to provide information about each segment of the music industry. Members have an exclusive window to preview the episodes before they are posted to www.CMAworld.com. Non-members will be able to view the first 18 episodes in the series on CMA's www.CMAworld.com. Previous episodes cover such topics as artist management, entertainment law, music publishing, marketing and concert promotion.
