Mark Vogelzang Named President And CEO Of Maine Public Broadcasting Network

STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK AT BUFFALO noncommercial News-Talk WBFO/BUFFALO Station Manager MARK VOGELZANG has been named President and CEO of the MAINE PUBLIC BROADCASTING NETWORK, effective JANUARY, replacing the retiring JIM DOWE.
VOGELZANG's resume includes service as PD and Radio Manager at noncommercial WHYY/PHILADELPHIA and 16 years as President of VERMONT PUBLIC RADIO. He served on the Board of Directors of NPR in 2001-08 and interim Executive Director of the NPR FOUNDATION in 2009.
VOGELZANG leaves WBFO as the station moves to ownership by WESTERN NEW YORK PUBLIC BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION, the owner of PBS affiliate WNED-TV, Classical WNED-F, and News-Talk WNED-A/BUFFALO.
