GULF SOUTH COMMUNICATIONS Country WDJR/DOTHAN PD JOEY DEE tells ALL ACCESS about some changes since GULF SOUTH acquired Country WTVY/DOTHAN from MAGIC COMMUNICATIONS.
DEE reports that WDJR is simulcasting with sister station WTVY presently, and will continue through the weekend, until MONDAY, DECEMBER 5th. After that WTVY, 18 years in the Country format, will flip to all-CHRISTMAS, with a mix of genres. As of what happens to WTVY once the CHRISTMAS music is packed up, rumors swirl about the station going AC, but DEE had a ‘no comment’.
The WDJR lineup is DAVE & MELODY for mornings, followed by SKIP NELSON for middays, DEE will host afternoons and JOHN GARRETT, retained from WTVY, will handle nights.
JOEY DEE will field any music questions MONDAY-FRIDAY, from 9-11a (CT). Contact him at joeydee@wdjr.com.
