1) What do you do to maintain a positive mental attitude and to stay motivated?
I'm a Christian and the good Lord provides all I need to stay motivated; working out daily helps, too!
2) How are you occupying your time, besides looking for a job?
Fishing, working out, sight-seeing here in Kauai, reading Purpose Driven Life and my Bible.
3) Some people get discouraged or enlightened with the business when they actually step out of it for a while. Tell us your observations from the outside.
I still believe that I have something to offer the industry, as well as believing the industry still needs me.
4) Do you plan on sticking with radio?
Until the fat lady sings!
5) What's the longest stretch you've had on the beach?
October 2012 to February 2016. A dark time for me.
6) What's the best way to get your foot in the door?
To be enthusiastic, honest and rich in humility
7) What has been your best resource for finding out about job openings?
All Access without a doubt!
8) What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get a job?
I sent Dave Shakes a full-sized poster of me standing next to a Harley with B96 spray painted on a wall in a tunnel somewhere in Washington, D.C. It got me the job!
9) What is the next job you'd like to obtain?
Mornings anywhere or major-market afternoon drive!
10) Are you finding salaries/benefits lower than you ever thought, about the same, or have you seen some pleasant surprises?
