BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
PROMO DEMO
1. What do you do to maintain a positive mental attitude and to stay motivated?
Try to stay busy and keep sending out airchecks.
2. How are you occupying your time, besides looking for a job?
Working a low paying, demeaning job stocking shelves at a local grocery store.
3. Some people get discouraged or enlightened with the business when they actually step out of it for a while. Tell us your observations from the outside.
The worst thing is that the old saying, "It's not what you know, but who you know" may actually be pretty close to the truth.
4. Do you plan on sticking with radio?
Yes. It's basically all I know, and the only thing I'm good at.
5. What's the longest stretch you've had on the beach?
This is it. One year and five months, so far.
6. What's the best way to get your foot in the door?
Obviously, I don't know. Usually, I was in the right place at the right time.
7. What has been your best resource for finding out about job openings?
All Access.
8. What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get a job?
Really can't think of anything crazy I've ever had to do.
9. What is the next job you'd like to obtain?
Part-time/full-time at a Classic Hits/Oldies station. Preferably as far south as I can get.
10. Are you finding salaries/benefits lower than you ever thought, about the same, or have you seen some pleasant surprises?
Pretty much par for the course. Maybe a little less.
