Please begin by giving us a brief career history ...

Jan. '05-March '05 -- WRDW/Philadelphia, weekends/swing
June '04-Nov. '04 -- WNOU/Indianapolis morning co-host/Producer
March '03-June '04 -- WDCG (G105)/Raleigh weekends/overnights/traffic/afternoon co-host/ promotions/ production/call girl1) How are you occupying your time, besides looking for a job?
Actually I just started working freelance for Envision Radio Networks booking celebs for their guest service and VIP prep services. I live in Philly, but I get to do it from my house and go up to NYC once a week to work from their offices. Other than that, I recently got engaged so I am planning my wedding, I watch a TON of TV, hang with my buddies and love taking my dog Wilson to the dog park.
2) Do you plan on sticking with the music/radio industry?
I would like to and I think I am talented enough to stay in it, but I can't predict the future as much as I wish I could! I hope no matter what, good things will come my way.
3) What's the longest stretch you've had on the beach?
This is it.
4) What's the best way to get your foot in the door?
Knowing people who work there, or knowing someone who knows someone who works there seems to be the best system. Or doing an internship and working your way up.
5) What has been your best resource for finding out about job openings?
Word of mouth, allaccess.com and indeed.com.
6) What is the next job you'd like to obtain?
I was extremely happy producing morning radio, so I'd like to keep producing a morning show and be able to be on the air a bit as well. Perhaps I could be on a show that was syndicated, or trying to go down that road so we can all grow together. I would really like that job to be on the East Coast, but we'll see what happens. I just hope I work with people that I get along with and click with so well like I did on The Booker Show.
7) What's the most unbelievable question you've ever been asked in an interview?
How old are you? I am over that question. Why does age matter so much all of a sudden? Your skill set, drive, determination and experience are what matters most, I was always told! I know this question is asked to help determine salary, and that's not what should determine it.
8) Are you spending as much time listening to radio as you used to?
I will always listen to the radio and always have, and I can't afford to buy CDs/mp3s, etc. being unemployed! As long as a radio is around, I will be listening.
9) What has been your biggest career accomplishment?
I have a few larger-than-life moments, but booking Hillary Clinton for her first radio interview on a Pop station was a huge moment for me. I was on the phone literally all day and night with her people and then when that hotline rang the next morning, I couldn't believe I made it happen.
Also, it sounds stupid, but we had a huge fight that made all the tabloids stem from our show between Lauren Conrad and Heidi of "The Hills." When I saw our web hits get into the millions for people checking out our interviews, that was pretty cool for me since maintaining the web was such a big part of my job as well at WIOQ.
10) What do you miss most about music/radio? The least?
I really miss the people I worked with (I miss them so much), and I miss that feeling you get when you work really hard and then someone tells you "good job" and you know you really did do a job good. That was my motivation. I do not miss the food that was brought into the station every single morning, making my waist larger than life! Finally, I am losing weight 'cause the bakery doesn't stop by my house every morning!
Bonus Questions
Care to contribute a low-cost recipe to our "ON THE BEACH" cookbook?
CUPCAKES! Buy a box mix, follow the directions and buy a frosting. Be careful not to eat too much batter as you may make yourself sick (I speak from experience -- but that doesn't stop me!)
