1) What do you do to maintain a positive mental attitude and stay motivated?
Tai Chi, Jack Daniels and Dancing to the Oldies with Richard Simmons.
2) How are you occupying your time, besides looking for a job?
I write and then write some more. I also maintain all my celebrity and publicist contacts to keep them aware that I still exist.
3) What's the longest stretch you've had on the beach?
I am a virgin on the beach.
4) What's the best way to get your foot in the door?
Tell them you are a direct descendant of Alexander Graham Bell and you know how to work every computer program ever invented. Also, let them know you Dad is Proctor and your Mom is Gamble.
5) What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get a job?
Told the truth on an application.
6) What is the next job you'd like to obtain?
To be part of a very creative team and to be part of that team's increased popularity and success.
7) What's the most unbelievable question you've ever been asked in an interview?
Are you sure you won six Nobel Peace Prizes?
8) Are you able to slow down and enjoy free time doing things with your family and friends that you probably did not have time to do while you were working?
In my case, my friends are my family, and gig or no gig, I always make time for them. However, I have three dogs that are like my children -- Karma, Cowboy and Bruiser -- and we love the extra time we get to spend together while I am on the beach.
9) Is there anything specific that you regret doing while you were still working?
Not interviewing Patti Smith.
10) If you were offered a similar position to what you were doing for considerably less money, would you seriously consider taking the job just to stay in the biz?
Abso-freaking-lutely!
