Twitter/Live Nation Partner To Stream Concerts

Twitter and Live Nation just announced a partnership which will allow Twitter to exclusively live stream concerts put on by the promoter. Artists already slated to have their shows livestreamed as a result of the partnership include Portugal The Man, Marian Hill and the Zac Brown Band. The deal makes a lot of sense for Twitter because even though their Music app failed, 7/10 of the most followed users on the platform are musicians, and Billboard's Grammy Awards live pre-show was the most viewed entertainment live stream on Twitter to date. And Live Nation's Chief Strategy Officer Jordan Zachary sees the clear benefit for his company as well, stating "Our partnership with Twitter allows us to amplify the live music experience creating a tool for artists to reach millions of fans around the world."Read more on the partnership here.
