Mobile media company mSpot has officially launched <http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/28/mspot-debuts-cloud-based-music-streaming-service-for-android/> its cloud-based music service, beating heavyweights Apple and Google to the punch. The mSpot service will allow users to wirelessly sync their music between a PC and mobile devices. Right now the only mobile platform that it works on is Android, but other platforms are expected to be added soon. mSpot also has a mobile movie-streaming that works on all the major mobile platforms.
For the music service, mSpot promises a smart caching system to allow seamless streaming even when cellular service I spotty. The first 2 gigabytes of storage (estimated to be 1600 songs, on average) are free for users. Users can purchase more storage in various increments, starting at 20 gigabytes for $4.99 per month.
