Please outline your radio career so far:
APD/Afternoons for Classic Rock /KRKR /Lincoln NE since Sept of 2004.
Nights at KILO/KYZX: Colorado Springs,CO 2000-04, Swings at Jones Rock
Classics: Denver 2001-2004. Nights at WRQC Minneapolis 1997-1999. Nights

1) What was your first job in radio? Early influences?
Jim Ladd. Bob Coburn. Chuck Yates... Slats Gannon (KEZO Z-92 Omaha)
2) What led you to a career in radio? Was there a defining moment, which made you realize "this is it"?
After playing drums in countless road bands... someone in radio came up to me at a gig and told me I should get into radio.
3) How have the recent FCC regulations impacted the way you program your music and the station's dialogue on the air? What are your feelings about these recent changes?
Yes. Freedom of Speech is losing its definition. Don't want to offend anyone. People are very sensitive anymore. Not cool.
4) What do you view as the most important issue facing radio today?
We need to rebuild a foundation for young radio talent.
5) Who is your favorite air personality not on your staff?
Ross & Mo... Mornings KILO Colorado Springs CO. Ross is a friggen genious.
6) What's the best concert you've been to so far this year and why?
Rolling Stones in January. Gonna see The Who in December!!
7) Tell us what music we would find on your car or home CD player (or turntable) right now and what is it you enjoy about that particular selection?
Black Crowes - Amorica. A bluesy bad ass album, Joe Jackson live in NYC ...brilliant stuff, The Who's Quadrophinia album : that album still talks to me!!
8) What is the one truth that has held constant throughout your career?
Stand tall and do a good job. Be polite. Stand up for what you believe in and stay away from the flakes. If you're good, someone will take notice.
9) Please describe the best or worst promotion you've ever been part of?
Best Promotion : Minneapolis Summer 1998... Our station had a free concert with The Smashing Pumpkins downtown Mpls... 100,000 people showed up... how bout that for a gig!!
10) What's the closest you ever came to getting arrested for an on-air stunt? Or did you actually get arrested?
Sneak A Toke Friday... Every Friday @ 9pm... I would encourage all pot smokers in the greater Minneapolis St Paul area to call up and take a hit on the air... we would discuss different kinds of paraphanilia used... what kind of pot... whoever held the longest hit won a prize... great bit !!

The Who Drummer Keith Moon, self explanatory.
4) What's been your biggest disappointment in Radio today?
Lack of Talent.
5) How much leeway do you give your jocks to talk between records?
Not much. A speed break.. dont stop down too long... its rock radio.
6) What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Police Officer (Narcotics)... drugs are a dead end man!
