Ghost, formerly known as Ghost B.C. in the United States was formed in Sweden in 2006. By 2010, the band released a 3-track demo followed by a 7” vinyl titled “Elizabeth,” and later debuted their full-length album Opus Eponymous. The album had been Grammis-nominated through praise in popularity. Then in 2013, their second album and major label debut Infestissuman reached number one in Sweden and won the Grammis award for Best Hard Rock/Metal album. By 2015, the band released their third studio album, Meliora, the record sales peaked to number one in their home country of Sweden, and number eight in the United States. Their lead single, “Circle,” won the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. Now, Ghost has released their fourth studio album, Prequelle.
