The Pretty Reckless
May 21, 2020

The Pretty Reckless was formed in 2009 in New York City featuring Taylor Momsen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ben Phillips (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mark Damon (bass) and Jamie Perkins (drums). The band released their debut studio album "Light Me Up" in August 2010 featuring the single "Make Me Wanna Die". After an EP release in early 2012, in March 2014 the band released their second studio album "Going to Hell" which included the singles "Heaven Knows" and "Messed Up World." The band's third studio album "Who You Selling For" was released on October 21, 2016 by Razor & Tie. The album spawned the single "Take Me Down", which earned the band their fourth number one on the US rock charts. Now The Pretty Reckless are back with their upcoming fourth studio album, having worked with Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. The new LP "Death by Rock and Roll" will be released in January 2021 on their new label Fearless Records. The lead single and title track of the album "Death By Rock N Roll" is a searing rocker that Momsen says "has our whole mentality in the lyrics. It's 'I'm going to live my way.' That's the Rock n Roll ethic. Either you throw it all away or you go for it. It's cliche, but Rock n Roll saved our lives."
