3 Doors Down
Mar 17, 2013

While American rock band, 3 Doors Down, do not have a new album of material to promote, they are currently busy on an extensive tour for the remainder of the year. They did, however, release a Greatest Hits album last year in November which includes nine of their all-time biggest hits. Included on this compilation are chart toppers like "Kryptonite", "When I'm Gone" and "It's Not My Time" as well as three new songs.
3 Doors Down member, Chris Henderson stated "I think that, as a band, it was important to get new music out there, and what better way to get new music out there than as part of a greatest-hits record. The label was really supportive of the idea, so it all worked out. Our thing was to put some new music out with the greatest-hits album, and then start working on a new record. Other than that, it's tour, tour, tour. We're going to go strong all year. It's going to be pretty cool."
Originally from Escatawpa, Mississippi and formed in 1996, the band's lineup consists of Brad Arnold (vocals/drums), Todd Harrell (bass) and Matt Roberts (guitar). They took in Chris Henderson in the very early days of The Better Life's creation and released the album as a 4 piece band. Richard Liles played drums for the band during their touring stint on that record. From the end of 2012 through to March 2013, 3 Doors Down went on a joint headlining tour with US rock band Daughtry to promote Daughtry's 3rd studio album release. Each show would switch the late show slot, however both bands performed a headlining set list. They were joined by P.O.D and later Aranda as the opening support.
After the bands Greatest Hits tour in the US and some destinations in Europe in the summer of 2013 they have said they hope to begin recording a new album. For Henderson and his bandmates -- singer Brad Arnold, bassist Todd Harrell, guitarist Chet Roberts and drummer Greg Upchurch -- this tour is a dream pairing long in the making between two bands that consistently top the modern rock charts.
