Mushroomhead
Jun 8, 2014

The industrial metal band, Mushroomhead, have released their eighth studio album via Megaforce Records, The Righteous & The Butterfly on May 13th. It's been welcomed with record high debuts. Currently, it's #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Chart, #1 on the Billboard Independent Chart, #5 on the Billboard Rock Chart and #20 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and sold around 11,000 copies the first week. This album marks the return of original vocalist J Mann, but instead of replacing his replacement, Waylon Reavis, Mushroomhead features three vocalists for the first time. The album also features some new blood in guitarist Church and bassist Dr. F. True Mushroomhead fans shouldn't worry though as The Righteous and the Butterfly sounds just like a Mushroomhead album should sound in 2014. The lead single out now at radio is "Out Of My Mind".
Formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1993, the band is known for their avant-garde industrial metal-based sound and imagery which includes masks and costumes as well as their unique live shows usually performed at smaller venues. Mushroomhead has sold over 2 million units worldwide, and has made 8 studio albums and 15 music videos. During their inception, Mushroomhead has gone through many changes in band line-ups, with original members, lead singer Jeffrey Nothing, keyboardist Shmotz, and drummer Skinny, being the only consistent members.
Mushroomhead will be featured on the main stage all Summer long at the Mayhem Festival.
