Amy Lee
Sep 1, 2014

Very recently, the singer-songwriter, Amy Lee, released Aftermath via Ingrooves, which is music from and inspired by the independent film, War Story. It represents several firsts for her and her mutli-Platinum band, Evanescence. It marks her most significant entrée to date into the world of film scoring and it is also her first album release since 2011's Evanesce self-titled album. Aftermath was a collaboration between Lee, Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer, and while the music on it may be a 180-degree turn from what Evanescence fans have come to expect, it has Amy Lee's fingerprints all over it. "Lockdown" is the first haunting single released from the album.
As the co-founder and lead vocalist of the rock band Evanescence, Amy Lee has been praised by the rock world. Revolver Magazine named Lee the #1 Hottest Chick in Hard Rock for their 2011 annual issue and she appeared on the front cover. In 2012, VH1 placed Amy Lee at #49 in the Top 100 Greatest Women in Music. That year, she also won the Best Vocalist honor at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Then in 2013, Amy Lee was named the 2012 Rock Goddess of the Year in the Loudwire Music Awards and the Hottest Woman in Music 2013 in the NME Awards. Lee's internationally renowned band Evanescence has sold more than 25-million albums worldwide.
