The Struts
Dec 6, 2015

"Kiss This" is the latest single released by the English rock band, The Struts via Interscope Records/Polydor. It can be found on their "Have You Heard" recent EP which offers anthemic, high octane guitar-driven rock in the form of four songs off The Struts' previous record: "Could Have Been Me," "Kiss This," "Put Your Money On Me," and "Where Did She Go." The band's obvious connection to classic rock greats like Queen and The Rolling Stones would otherwise create a sense of nostalgia about their music, but The Struts push right on through that, opting instead for an electrifying realm of aural possibility.
The Struts consists of Luke Spiller (lead vocals), Adam Slack (guitar & backing vocals), Jed Elliott (bass, guitar & backing vocals) and Gethin Davies (drums & percussion). Formed in Derby, England in 2010, the foursome has been one of Britain's best kept secrets - that is, until last month (July 2015), when the band signed a US record deal with America's venerable Interscope Records and released their first song stateside, the dynamic "Could Have Been Me." The Struts relocated to Los Angeles in early 2015. Their first television appearance in America was on Jimmy Kimmel in August 2015, and in September they were named "Band on the Verge" by USA Today.
