The President at play:
With the tenth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks just around the corner, PRESIDENT OBAMA tells CNN that he's worried about both big and small attacks that could be targeted around that day. In an intervew, he said, "The biggest concern we have right now is not the launching of a major terrorist operation, although that risk is always there."
He added, "The risk that we're especially concerned over right now is the lone wolf terrorist, somebody with a single weapon being able to carry out wide-scale massacres of the sort that we saw in Norway recently... when you've got one person who is deranged or driven by a hateful ideology, they can do a lot of damage, and it's a lot harder to trace those lone wolf operators." Congratulations to MILEY CYRUS, who was just inducted into the Celebrity Bowling Hall of Fame. Poor JUSTIN BIEBER landed in second place for the second year in a row, while other big-name contenders included KIM KARDASHIAN, LIL WAYNE, LADY GAGA and JEFF BRIDGES. (Lee)

These just might be the world's most expensive flip-flops.
A company called Chipkos has just released a pair of one-of-a-kind sandals worth $18-thousand dollars. CocoPerez.com says the flip-flops were hand-painted by artist DAVID PALMER. They're being sold to help raise money to protect 100-thousand square feet of endangered rain forest.
No-so-coincidentally, Chipkos is also launching a new line of eco-friendly sandals that they claim will protect 100 square feet of rainforest for each pair sold. (Bartha)Reality Round-Up:
Lotsa rumors about the new season and upcoming cast of "Dancing With The Stars."
We've already heard that TIFFANI THIESSEN from "Saved by the Bell" and ROB KARDASHIAN were going to be on the latest edition, but yesterday PEREZ HILTON reported that MTV reality star KRISTIN CAVALLARI (from "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills") would also be joining the show as well.
Other rumored names have included CHYNNA PHILLIPS, QUEEN LATIFAH, CHRISTINA MILIAN and MIKE TYSON. NICOLE "Snooki" POLIZZI of "Jersey Shore" was also on the potential list, but has denied it, tweeting "I love watching Dancing with the Stars but I am not apart of the cast! Sorry Tweedos."
The latest cast will be announced by TOM BERGERON and BROOKE BURKE during ABC's "Bachelor Pad" on Mon, Aug. 29.Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
MICHELE BACHMANN is clueless. Yesterday, during a campaign stopin South Carolina, the Republican presidential candidate wished ELVIS PRESLEY a "Happy Birthday." Yesterday was the anniversary of his DEATH, not his birthday. Subtle difference. Michele won the Ames Straw Poll in Iowa on Sunday. Be afraid... be very afraid. (Marino)
