20 years ago today, a handcuffed and terrified man ran out of a Milwaukee apartment building and told police officers he had just escaped from a man with a knife. Police investigated the apartment and found human heads and body parts throughout the house. The year was 1991 and the guy who lived there? JEFFREY DAHMER. Dahmer was sent to prison for the murder of 15 people and eventually was killed by another inmate.

Former PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON won the hearts of Americans by popping into McDonalds back in the day, but has morphed into a full-blown health nut. He's gone vegan.
The democratic darling says tells CNN he's given up meat, eggs, dairy, almost all oils and embraced the vegan lifstyle. He's dropped 20 pounds since undergoing quadruple bypass surgery in 2004, says he feels good and has more energy. The one-time Commander-in-Chief celebrated his 65th birthday last Friday.
Studies show that people on a vegan diet --which bans milk, cheese, and eggs in addition to meat-- lose weight and have lower cholesterol and better glucose control. However, they can also be short on vitamin B12, iron, protein, zinc, and calcium. (Lee/Maiman)

Burger King is retiring its old mascot, a creepy, grinning king.
The company split with ad agency, which created a line of ads featuring the king character. Instead, Burger King's new ad campaign will focus on the freshness of the chain's food and the addition of guacamole to its menu.

Sucking the life out of the wire services:

KIM KARDASHIAN and KRIS HUMPHRIES are officially man-and-wife. People magazine reports the two said their "I Do's" in front of 440 of their closest friends and family last Saturday night. Celebrity guests included EVA LONGORIA, RYAN SEACREST, LINDSAY, DINA and ALI LOHAN, AVRIL LAVIGNE, BABYFACE AND SUGAR RAY LEONARD.
The bride wore three different VERA WANG gowns throughout the celebration and her four sisters --KOURTNEY and KHLOE KARDASHIAN and KENDALL and KYLIE JENNER --all stood by her side. The groom was dressed by ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA, as were groomsmen LAMAR ODOM and ROB KARDASHIAN. The beautiful couple began dating last December and the baller proposed after just six months of togetherness.

CoverGirl’s make-up artist JAKE BAILEY has created looks for TAYLOR SWIFT, MARIAH CAREY and CAMERON DIAZ. He recently gave Fashionista.com a couple of cool tips on How To Use Office Supplies as Make-Up Tools:
--Use business cards to apply mascara: Use the card as a guide by holding it between your lashes and browline, and apply the mascara with a brush. The business card helps give lashes an upward sweep and helps curls lashes.
--Scotch tape can be makeup remover: To remove glittery eye make-up quickly, use the sticky side to gently grab the make-up off your skin. He says he used this technique on KATY PERRY while she filmed the “California Girls” video. (Bartha)

Big news: JERRY LEWIS will apparently be hosting the MDA Labor Day Telethon after all. Columnist NORM CLARKE of the Las Vegas Review Journal says Jerry and the Muscular Dystrophy Association have "made peace" and reinstated Jerry, although the 85-year-old made no mention of it Saturday night when he accepted a lifetime achievement award at the Nevada Broadcasters Association's Hall of Fame gala.
