Iran:
The two American hikers imprisoned in Iran may have to wait a while longer before going home, thanks to what may be a power struggle between President MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD and the clerics who control the country's courts.
A judiciary official denied Ahmadinejad's statement that the two Americans' release was imminent, saying that "reports of their imminent release are wrong."
On Tuesday, Ahmadinejad said Americans SHANE BAUER and JOSH FATTAL would be freed "in a couple of days." An Omani official said a plane has been sent to retrieve the Americans if they are released. (Maiman)Sucking up:

Target stores got an early Christmas this week. The NY Times says demand for the Missoni for Target products that went on sale on just two days ago was "unprecedented" and "bigger than Black Friday."
The zig-zag patterned clothes, accessories and housewares designed by luxury goods maker Missoni crashed Target’s servers within hours. And as of yesterday, most of the 400-piece Missoni for Target collection had already sold out. Singer LANDAU EUGENE MURPHY, Jr, was the big winner on last night's season finale of "America's Got Talent." The down-on-his-luck car wash employee took home 1-million dollars and gets a headlining show at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas on October 28th. That show will be hosted by JERRY SPRINGER and features the three runners-up: POPLYFE, SILHOUETTES and TEAM ILLUMINATE, along with winners from previous seasons. Last night's two-hour show also included performances from STEVIE WONDER, DEF LEPPARD, TONY BENNETT, QUEEN LATIFAH, COBRA STARSHIP and the little girl with the big voice, JACKIE EVANCHO. (Marino)
CBS has renewed the reality show “Big Brother” for another season, starting next summer. RACHEL RILEY beat out PORSCHE and ADAM last night to win the half-million dollar grand prize on the 14th edition of the show.
