What do women want?:
Get a clue: Woman's Day magazine asks, "What do you want most this Valentine's Day?"
--A box of chocolates: 11 percent
--Red roses: 13 percent
--Diamond earrings: 20 percent
--A love letter: 56 percentHook It Up, mail order:
Here's the Valentine's gift for your single friends: the Web site KnockKnock.biz no longer carries last year's favorite, the Procedural Dating Kit, but does carry several unusual items you might like:
--Vouchers for Lovers
--True Love or Sex Appeal medals
--Pads to fill out, including "Why I Must Have Sex With You," "Rate A Date" and "Why I Must Get Drunk With You" so you can tear one off in the singles bar, fill it out instantly and (hopefully) make an instant impression.
--The "100 Quickies" ticket book. 'Nuff said.Chic Sh*t:
Lingerie Shopping Websites for Valentine's Day (Source: Racked.com)
--Isabella Fine Lingerie (shopisabella.com). Specializes in hard-to-find European items. They also have an "boobologist," who will advise you on the correct undergarment for your size if you email a picture.
--Figleaves.com. (figleaves.com). Go here if you need variety. They also have a big men's department and flat rate shipping of only $3 bucks.
--Bucio Lingerie (buciolingerie.com) On the kinkier end of the spectrum. They specialize in plus-size nightwear.
--Hanky Panky (hankypanky.com). Famous for its one-size-fits-all thong in a variety of colors and patterns (Bartha)Guilty Pleasures:
No winner in Wednesday night's drawing for the Powerball Lottery. That means Saturday night's drawing is valued at $310 million ($193.4 million cash value). Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington, DC and the U-S Virgin Islands. Chances of winning the grand prize (all five numbers plus the powerball) are 1 in 195.2 million.
Fast Food, dep't:
Taking fast food to the next level, Jack in the Box has announced that they've created a new Bacon Shake for all you salty-sweet lovers. Of course, it should probably come as no surprise to people who saw the last Jack in the Box commercial where a man marries bacon, we suppose we shouldn't be too shocked.
Bacon fanatics will find little pieces of bacon floating around in their vanilla shake, along with some bacon-flavored syrup, and it's all topped off with a maraschino cherry.
But for you diet-conscious fast-food addicts (like there are any of YOU out there), the 16-ounce bacon shake tops out at 773 calories, with 28 grams of saturated fat and 75 grams of sugar. You don't wanna know about the 24-ounce size.Trolling for publicity:
Future Trojans beware --MIRANDA COSGROVE is headed to USC and looking for a real man! The "iCarly" cutie tells AbsoluteNow.com she'll be a single co-ed this fall and wants to find a generous new love interest. Apparently her last boyfriend was a bit cheap --whenever the check arrived he'd sneak off to the bathroom or realize he'd conveniently "forgotten" his wallet. (Lee)
MADONNA knows when she's hot. Her 1991 movie, "Truth Or Dare," will be released on Blu-ray in the spring. That's the documentary about her 1990 Blonde Ambition Tour. LADY GAGA probably watched it a thousand times. Look for the Blu-ray and DVD on April 3rd. (Marino)
Editor's note: And look for a fleeting appearance by Ross Brittain interviewing dancer Donna DeLory about halfway in... LOL (RB) -
