In its 41-year history, Disney World's Magic Kingdom has never served alcohol, until now.
Disney officials made it official last week: Beer and wine will be on the menu when the new Be Our Guest restaurant opens in November as part of the Fantasyland expansion.
Alcohol has been served at one of the restaurants at Disneyland in California for years, but Disney World officials told the Orlando Sentinel their decision was based on feedback from visitors, the vast majority of whom said they'd like the option of being served beer or wine. However, the beer and wine will only be served during dinner hours.
The Be Our Guest restaurant is based on Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" and will serve French cuisine.

In a July poll of 14-hundred U.S. consumers, Perception Research Services (PRS) found that four out of five shoppers (76 percent) notice "Made in the USA" claims and labels and are more likely to purchase that product. U.S. consumers notice "Made in China" labels almost as much but over half (57 percent) said they were less likely to purchase items made in China due to quality and safety concerns. Those who responded positively to products made in China did so due to cheaper prices. (Kaye)
Crooks too stupid to live:
Dining and dashing can be deadly.
The NY Post reports a 21-year-old man in Georgia was killed Friday after he tried to run across a busy highway. Police say the unidentified man was hit by a vehicle after dashing out of a nearby cafe without paying his tab. Police confirm the man had dined with three other people at The Waffle House in Athens and was the last to leave the restaurant.

It might not be as collectible as a BEATLES wig, but, you'll soon be able to own JUSTIN BIEBER duct tape! The teen dream's face has been printed on a new line of the home improvement item by the Duck Tape brand. There are four black-and-white images of The Bieber, with little bits of purple. That's his favorite color. The tape will be in stores this week. (Marino)
LADY GAGA always makes a grand entrance wherever she goes. The New York Post says that on Thursday, she launched her new perfume line... from inside a perfume bottle! It was a giant replica of her "Fame" fragrance, and the big event happened at Manhattan's Guggenheim Museum. First, Gaga arrived in a convertible, with the top down of course, and posed for photos. Then, she got inside the bottle, stripped down to lingerie, and got a tattoo on the back of her neck. (Marino)
The guys from RASCAL FLATTS will get a star --the 2,480th to be exact-- on Hollywood's Walk of Fame this morning at 11:30 am (Pacific). DAVID FOSTER will be speaking at the ceremony, which will be at 6664 Hollywood Boulevard.
Health and Medical Briefs:
There could be a link between restless leg syndrome (RLS) and heart disease or non-fatal heart attacks women. Researchers said to know for sure, though, they need to spend more time studying the possible connection.
A study published in the journal Circulation followed more than 70-thousand women for six years. It's important to note the study did not prove that RLS causes heart disease, but the researchers did recommend those with RLS should have their heart health checked regularly by their doctor just to be sure.
