Stupid people, stupid places:
People in Kent, England, sure know how to party.
Orange.co.uk says 16 teams battled it out in the World Custard Pie Championships in Kent over the weekend. Participants dressed in weird costumes and threw pies at each other. The winner was a team called "Pie of the Tiger". The custard pie championships were created by a former mayor back in 1967. (Still)Trash talk and satellite dish:
Warning: note sexual content.
MILEY CYRUS has a few great reasons for marrying LIAM HEMSWORTH. Sources tell MIKE WALKER of the National Enquirer the "Hannah Montana" cutie was overheard dishing out her bedroom secrets to a friend over sushi! Word is "The Hunger Games" hottie fulfills all her fantasies, they like to (ahem) "have fun" everywhere and are in competition to see who can think up the craziest place! (Lee)Fashion Emergency:
KELLY OSBOURNE wore a $250-thousand-dollar manicure to the Emmy awards Sunday night. The purple-haired Marge Simpson look-alike and "Fashion Police" co-host got coated her digits in Black Diamond polish. E! News says the most expensive nail polish on the market is actually put out by Los Angeles based jeweler called Azature. They unveiled the nutty nail lacquer a month or two ago.
Editor's note: What the hell do you tip the manicurist? The polish alone costs more than it takes to take care of MITT ROMNEY's dressage horse. (Bartha)Small-town politics:
Arkansas might become the first Southern state to legalize medicinal marijuana.
According to the NY Post, a referendum on the November ballot will ask voters to decide whether medical cannabis should be legal. MORGAN FOX is a spokeswoman for the pro-marijuana group behind the initiative. She says, "For some reason, public officials have been way behind public opinion on this issue. Politicians are starting to realize that they don't have to worry about backlash." (Still)Polling America:
It's all-American: Ritz crackers are America's favorite salty snack, according to a list of the top 10 most popular snacks compiled by BrandIndex. Lays potato chips was number two on the list, and Doritos took the third spot. Fritos and Orville Redenbacher's rounded out the top five. The yearly list is based on the company's daily polls of roughly five-thousand Americans.
