Splitsville:
Need more proof that reality television can ruin a perfectly good marriage? Just ask Dr. JENN BERMAN from "Couple's Therapy!" RadarOnline.com reports the psychotherapist and author filed for divorce from her longtime husband JOSHUA late last year. Although she only listed her initials on the paperwork, the gossip site claims she'll be keeping their Beverly Hills mansion, a Mercedes 500, sole ownership of her website and will pay her knight in shining armor over $600-thousand dollars in cash. The couple was married for 12 years and have six-year-old twin daughters. (Lee)
Culture Shock:
A California mother is taking a stand against the scourge of twerking by making her daughter hold up a sign publicly apologizing for engaging in the dance-du-jour at a recent school event.
FRANCES HENA of Bakersfield explicitly told 11-year-old Jamie not to rhythmically gyrate her lower fleshy parts in a lewd and lascivious manner with the intent to elicit sexual arousal (as Urban Dictionary defines "twerking"), but her daughter defied her.
When the mom found out through a friend, she made her daughter stand for two hours near a busy intersection with a sign informing passing motorist that she "was disrespecting my parents by twerking at a school dance.
"That's ridiculous to even think that's okay at a school dance," said the mom to a local TV station. "When she's 18, she can do whatever she wants. As of right now, that's not something she's going to be doing."
Hena is also mad at the school for allowing her young daughter to twerk with abandon at an official function. She's still waiting to hear from the school about it and wants the school to implement a strict "no twerking" policy.
Editor's note: Sounds like mother and daughter have a few differences between them. Hope they can twerk it out. (Maiman)Whistleblowing:
Mobile consumers are more willing to share their personal information now than in the past. But that doesn't mean they want to be tracked while on the mobile web or using mobile apps. That's according to new data from TRUSTe, which shows 69 percent "don't like the idea" of mobile tracking and 43 percent won't share personal information even in exchange for free or lower-cost apps. England might be doing away with paper money.
The Bank of England says they might start issuing plastic bank notes within three years. It says polymer notes are cleaner, more secure, and last longer. Currently, Britain's money is made out of cotton. (Still) -
