Bottom feeding:
Warning: note drug content.
LAMAR ODOM's rumored drug addiction may be worse than anyone imagined. TMZ.com spotted the baller picking up a box of copper scrubbing pads this week, but they're probably not for getting burn marks out of his stainless steel pots. Apparently crack fiends use them as a filter in pipes because they retain the vapors from cocaine.
Stories are flying that Mr. KHLOE KARDASHIAN checked into rehab last week but left the same day. (Lee)Fashion Emergency:
A star of the A&E reality series "Duck Dynasty" made her debut as a designer and model at New York Fashion Week Monday night. Sixteen-year-old SADIE ROBERTSON partnered with designer SHERRI HILL for a line of prom dresses called Sadie Roberston Live Original. Sadie walked the runway wearing a (very pretty) polka dotted
black-and-white gown from the collection.
Sadie also told reporters she and her whole family are praying for MILEY CYRUS and her whole family after her twerking performance at the 2013 MTV VMAs. "We feel very bad for her because we know how entertainment can get wrapped up in your head." People magazine says the high school sophomore hasn't been to a prom before, but she's very excited because she's already been asked by an upperclassman at her school. How about a college course in Zombies?
Daily Variety reports the University of California, Irvine, is partnering with AMC for an online course based on its TV show called "The Walking Dead."
Students will reportedly discuss how a Zombie Apocalypse might affect social science, public health, mathematics and physics during the eight-week course.
Of course, it's not the first college to offer a Zombie course --Michigan State has a popular "Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse: Disasters, Catastrophes and Human Behavior" course, and Columbia College Chicago has a "Zombies in Popular Media" class. The University of Baltimore's school of communications has also offered a course called "Zombiemania: 80 Movies to Die For," with a look at the "Thriller" video as part of the course.Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
Staying classy, BRITNEY SPEARS announced yesterday that her new single is called, "Work Bitch." You'll get to hear it on Monday. The track will be available for downloading from iTunes at 12:01am on September 17th. Britney is set to perform the single a few hours late on "Good Morning America." The video will premiere sometime after that. Britney Tweeted that she shot it in the desert and offered up a photo of herself in a teeny bikini. (Marino)
Taking everything much too seriously:
A graduate engineer set a new Guinness World Record for the tallest free-standing tower of dominos.
It took TOM HOLMES seven and a half hours and almost 27-hundred dominos to construct the 17-foot tower. Holmes planned the domino structure in advance using a computer design program. He says, "As an engineer I am constantly looking for creative solutions to solve problems so it's great to put my skills to use in fun tasks like this." Holmes now wants to try to build an even bigger tower and break his own record. (Still) -
