The President at play:
PRESIDENT OBAMA came out swinging yesterday at Republicans during a campaign-like speech in Austin, TX, daring the GOP to keep attacking and criticizing him. He said, "You hear some of them: 'Sue him! Impeach him!' ...Really? For what, doing my job?"
He added, "I don't have to run for office anymore, so I can just let it rip... The best thing you can say about (the House GOP is that so far this year)... they haven't shut down the government ...But it's only July." (Pacelli)Fast Food:

KIM KARDASHIAN and KANYE WEST just tied the knot during a two-million-dollar wedding, but do the newlyweds actually have anything in common? The twosome had a terrible time on their first honeymoon in Ireland and word is their second shot at bliss didn't go well, either. RadarOnline.com reports the lovebirds headed down to Puta Mita, Mexico to stay in JOE FRANCIS' luxury estate, but the dashing groom hates lounging by the pool and is quite concerned his new bride doesn't want to experience new things.
Rumor has it they're already living separate lives and have spent just nine days together in their first month-and-a-half of marriage. (Lee)On, off and way-off Broadway:
The TUPAC SHAKUR Broadway musical, "Holler If Ya Hear Me," is not doing well at all. Variety says since the show began previews on June 2nd, it has never taken in more than $200-thousand dollars a week. That's rough when you have 22 people in the cast and a nine-member orchestra to pay. But, producers say it's not time to close just yet. Lead producer ERIC L. GOLD says he wants to raise $5-million dollars to keep the show going until ticket sales improve. But, Eric is also realistic. He said that if "Holler" has to close early, it will be almost impossible to get another rap or hip hop show on Broadway. (Marino)
Broadcast, cable and video news:
It's official --ROSIE O'DONNELL is headed back to her old stompin' grounds. As we told 'ya this week (RBR 7.10.14) the comic was rumored to be returning to "The View" and ABC confirmed the news yesterday on Twitter. BARBARA WALTERS just left the show after 17 seasons, while SHERRI SHEPHERD and JENNY MCCARTHY have been fired and WHOOPI GOLDBERG is still the moderator of the daytime chat fest.
Now the speculation rages on... Daily Variety says MEGHAN McCAIN, daughter of Republican Senator JOHN McCAIN, is in serious contention to join as co-host for the show as well. Meghan is already scheduled to co-host "The View" on Monday. As you might have guessed, she'd take the place of ELIZABETH HASSELBECK as a conservative voice on the show. (Lee) -
