I'm a Poll Man:
The latest Gallup three-day rolling average puts PRESIDENT OBAMA's job approval at just 38-percent, with 54-percent disapproving. (Pacelli)
Healthcare:
The Wall Street Journal reports that HealthCare.gov --the government's main website for the Affordable Care Act-- was penetrated by a hacker and a malicious software upload in July. The Department of Health and Human Services discovered the attack last week, but investigators reportedly found no evidence that consumers' personal data was taken in the breach.
In a statement, HHS said, "Our review indicates that the server did not contain consumer personal information; data was not transmitted outside the agency, and the website was not specifically targeted... We have taken measures to further strengthen security." (Pacelli)Culture Shock:
If you haven't been able to find those nude pictures of JENNIFER LAWRENCE and KATE UPTON that were hacked and then posted online a couple of days ago --you're in luck. They're going to be part of an upcoming exhibit at a museum in St. Petersburg, FL.
FOX News reports the Cory Allen Contemporary Art Showroom will feature a collection about invasion of privacy titled "No Delete" by artist XVALA, who decided it would be a perfect complement to his work.
However, it may be a short exhibit, since both the actress and model have threatened to sue anyone who publishes the photos --either on the internet or publishes them.
But CORY ALLEN says the pictures are art --not just photos-- and claims "We're not sharing the photos; we're not posting them; we're not trying to promote that aspect of it. He is creating the artwork from these images. There are also other images [in the exhibit]."Sucking the life out of the wire services:
TALLULAH WILLIS is outta rehab. People magazine reports DEMI MOORE arrived at a treatment center to pick up her 20-year-old daughter last Wednesday, who reached out for help in late July. Insiders say the Hollywood princess was suffering from body dysmorphia, alcohol and drug problems. (Lee)
Losers in Lockup:
MINNIE MOUSE and WOODY from Toy Story are behind bars in New York City.
Police say CARMEN DINEGRO was dressed as Minnie and EIMER PERALES had on a Woody costume. They were hanging out in Times Square along with HUGO SMITH-GOMEZ who was dressed like the Statue of Liberty. All three were arrested Wednesday night for unlawful solicitation after multiple tourists complained that the characters were demanding $5-dollar tips in exchange for posing for photos. Police have been cracking down on the costumed characters lately after several incidents.
Officials want tourists to know they are not obligated to tip anyone. (Still)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
DEADMAUS is not welcome at the Mouse House. TMZ.com says Disney is suing the world famous club DJ to get him to stop wearing his mouse mask in the United States because it looks too much like the trademarked Mickey Mouse logo. But, the Confidential gossip column in the NY Daily News says it's Deadmaus who is causing all the problems. Disney tried to make a deal with JOEL ZIMMERMAN, the man behind the mask, so that his mask and Disney's logos could co-exist. Joel didn't like any of the terms and his lawyer says the DJ will fight Disney in court if he has to. So, he's not taking the mouse mask off anytime soon. (Marino)
