Black Friday Shopping:
More men are expected to venture out to the stores this Black Friday (28 November), while most consumers plan to hold off and shop on Cyber Monday this year, according to research from Nielsen.
The research reveals more women (60 percent) will shop on Cyber Monday, as opposed to half of male respondents. Just over half of women (52 percent) plan to shop on Black Friday, but more men (53 percent) than women (50 percent) plan to venture out into the brick-and-mortar fray.
And as for where it'll be the craziest, the most popular Black Friday destinations are predicted to be department stores (56 per cent), discount stores or mass merchandisers (55 per cent), electronic stores (49 per cent), online (40 per cent) and toy stores (26 per cent). (Kaye)According to a new poll conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs on behalf of Offers.com, 60 percent of U.S. adults set a budget on their holiday gift shopping, while 40 percent just don't. 64 percent of women set a holiday shopping budget, and only 57 percent of men. And 67 percent of those with an annual household income under $50-thousand dollars set a budget vs. 56 percent of those with a higher income. (Kaye)
