Already married:
Earlier this week, there were multiple rumors that JOHNNY DEPP and AMBER HEARD were going to get married, but yesterday, People magazine reported that the fun couple tied the knot at their Los Angeles home on Tuesday. E! News and Us Weekly also confirmed the story. But --according to all three, there'll be a bigger ceremony taking place on Johnny's private island in the Bahamas this weekend. Amber is 28 and it would be her first marriage; Johnny is 51 and it's his second --he was married to makeup artist LORI ALLISON in 1983 for two years. He also has two children with his former girlfriend, VANESSA PARADIS, a 15-year-old daughter named LILY-ROSE and a 12-year-old son named JACK. No word on whether they'll be on hand for the big ceremony this weekend.
Guilty Pleasures:
No winner in Wednesday night's drawing for the Powerball Lottery. That means Saturday night's drawing is valued at $360 million ($250.5 million cash value). Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the U-S Virgin Islands. Chances of winning the grand prize (all five numbers plus the powerball) are 1 in 175.2 million.
Idle gossip & unconfirmed rumors:
BRUCE JENNER has picked his transition name. According to Star magazine, the former Olympian, who has revealed plans to transition to a woman, wants to be called Belinda when his transition is complete.
Fashion Emergency:
Somewhere in between performing at the Superbowl and singlehandedly launching the careers of both Left and Right Shark, KATY PERRY also launched a new collection at Claire's, your one-stop-mall-shop for affordably-trendy accessories. Katy has been worked with Claire's before. But Racked.com says their latest "Eat Ur Heart Out" collection "truly embodies all the kitsch" that makes up Katy's signature cartoon-glam look. (Bartha)
Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
OK, so SUGE KNIGHT didn't have a panic attack. TMZ.com says it was a reaction to a possibly deadly blood clot that sent the former rap mogul to the hospital right after he pleaded guilty to several felony charges on Tuesday. Suge is at Long Beach Memorial now where he's being treated with blood thinners. He's handcuffed to the bed and under 24-hour police watch. (Marino)
SNOOP DOGG will be spending a lot of time at UCLA's football games next season. Billboard.com says the rapper-actor's son, CORDELL BROADUS, has signed on to play for the University of California /Los Angeles as a wide receiver. Snoop was always a big supporter of USC, but he told ESPN (quote), "I'm throwing all my USC stuff away. I'm all UCLA now." (Marino)
