Sick bay:
British actor Sir JOHN HURT has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Hurt, who's now 75 years old, is possibly most famous for his role as Joseph Merrick in 1980's "The Elephant Man," for which he was nominated for an Oscar. He was also in "Alien" and "Midnight Express" as well.
Also in sick bay:
BOB UECKER, who still does the Milwaukee Brewers broadcasts even though he's 81-years-old, was hit by a foul tip during batting practice for Monday's game and had to spend the night at the hospital after getting dizzy during the seventh inning of the broadcast.
Doctors sent him back home yesterday, saying he had a mild concussion. He did not travel with the team on their road trip to Kansas City, which begins today.Posturing, Posing, Polling and Press Releases:
Real estate mogul and reality TV star DONALD TRUMP has launched a run for president. In an address inside Trump Tower in Manhattan, he said, "I am officially running for president of the United States... We are going to make our country great again."
He added, "Politicians are all talk and no action... We have losers. We have people who are morally corrupt. We have people who are taking the country down the drain... This is going to be an election, in my opinion, based on competence ...The American Dream is dead. And if elected president, I will make it bigger and stronger than ever." (Pacelli)

Meanwhile, during DONALD TRUMP's interview with GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS after his announcement, George reminded him that he first was considering a White House run in 1999 as a Reform Party candidate and at the time, said he'd like to run with OPRAH WINFREY.
As for this campaign, Trump replied: "I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah. I think we'd win easily, actually... She's great, she's talented, she's a friend of mine... I like Oprah. I mean, is that supposed to be a bad thing? I don't think so."What does dad want:
A survey of a thousand U.S. fathers by Offers.com finds the gift Papa would most like to receive this Father's Day is a handwritten card from the kids (33 percent). This tops traditional gifts such as electronics (16 percent), sporting goods (15 percent) and DIY/gardening tools (13 percent).
Socks and shaving tools came bottom of the wish list, and they feature among the three items that he definitely does not want to be presented with June 21: gift baskets (25 percent), personal hygiene products (22 percent) and undergarments (21 percent). (Kaye) -
