Trash talk and satellite dish:
Forbes magazine has released its annual list of the Top-Earning Dead Celebrities, and MICHAEL JACKSON remains in the top spot, earning an estimated $115 million dollars last year. However, "Fast & Furious" star PAUL WALKER has joined the list in ninth place, earning $10.5 million dollars for his heirs, even though he died in that tragic car accident in 2013. You may never get a cat-eye quite as perfect as ARIANA GRANDE, but you'll soon be able to match her lipstick game. The pop star is teaming with MAC Cosmetics to create her own lipsticks for MAC's "Viva Glam" collection. People says Ariana' s two lip products include a matte plum-colored lipstick and a shimmery pink lip gloss. They go on sale in January, with proceeds benefitting patients living with HIV-AIDS. TV Briefs:
The host for the final awards show next year has been picked. Last week, we told you CHRIS ROCK would host the Academy Awards Feb 28; Monday it was announced that RICKY GERVAIS will be hosting the Golden Globes on Jan 10 and yesterday CBS announced that JANE LYNCH will be hosting the 2016 People's Choice Awards on Jan 06, live from the Microsoft Theater in Downtown L.A.
Of course, it also could have something to do with the fact that Jane's new show, "Angel from Hell," premieres in February.ONE DIRECTION will perform at the 2015 American Music Awards. ABC says the boy band will do its new single, "Perfect," which will be on One Direction's fifth studio album, "Made In The A.M.," due out on November 13th. SELENA GOMEZ, 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER, CARRIE UNDERWOOD and others are also on the bill. JENNIFER LOPEZ will host and perform at the big event which happens November 22nd. ABC will air it, live. (Marino)
Lowering expectations:
A record attempt to make the world's largest bowl of fried rice has failed.
300 chefs in Yangzhou, China, cooked up a bowl of fried rice weighing over 92-hundred pounds last Thursday. But, officials with the Guinness Book disqualified the entry after determining it was "not fit for human consumption." The Guinness rules state that in record attempts involving food "the food item must be divided and distributed or donated for general consumption."
It turns out witnesses posted videos of workers stepping on the cooked rice in order to pack it into a truck, which made it unsanitary and unfit for consumption. (Still) -
